wrap up of our week

I'm a little behind on my blogging... Last weekend we went to my parent's house for a family reunion on my Dad's side of the family. It was long, hot day. It was fun, though! Kagen did great until she got too hot and sleepy. Luckily her GiGi was available, so we took her over there to spend the night.

These are all of Kagen's little cousins that live near Houston. We love when they all come up!


On Tuesday Kagen and I headed to the Spray park to play with Dana and her two girls. Kagen wasn't too crazy about the water this time. All the wanted to do was swing. She normally loves the water so I'm not sure why she wasn't digging it. We still had fun hanging out with our friends.

Weds, we had lunch with my mom and sister at Smashburger. It was my first time eating there. It was pretty good but, not amazing. After lunch we checked out Hobby Lobby and helped my sister pick out some new stuff for her house. And then we took Kagen to Toys'r'us. My Mom wanted to let her play with a bunch of toys so she could get and idea of what to get Kagen for her birthday. On that note, her birthday is 3 months away but, I am on the lookout for party supplies. The reason is that I love summer stuff so when her birthday roles around it's hard to find what I need/want. I learned that last year. For example, I found this adorable drink dispenser at Sam's Club. My Mom and I headed up there yesterday to get it. They were gone. SOLD OUT. Not getting anymore. EEEEEKK! I was so frustrated that I didn't pick it up when I first saw it. What did I do?? I got on the phone and called the Sam's Club in Longiview. They had them! LOT'S OF THEM! We took off to Longview and picked one up. This may seem crazy but, I am being less crazy this year than I was about her 1st birthday. ;)


Today we are being pretty lazy. Kagen has been wanting to cuddle so I know she must be feeling a little crummy. Any excuse to cuddle with her I'm there! I'm hoping it doesn't rain tomorrow so we can take her to a local church that is having a Family Fun Day. We'll see...
