FINALLY! We have teeth. It's about dang time, I didn't think they would ever appear. Kagen is getting so big! She is trying so hard to walk but it just isn't working out for her. She is getting brave and has a little rebel in her. I'm afraid I have my hands VERY full. She is the perfect mixture of me and Lex and that means trouble! We haven't gotten out a whole lot so far this summer because it is so HOT! We've had lots of fun around the house though. Especially when Grandma comes over. She has been teaching me to sew and it is so much fun! Very overwhelming at first but I am in love with it now. It was a slow process making this dress because I have an 8 month old to follow around and my mom had to teach me step by step, she is a very good teacher by the way. Good thing that it is her profession. ;) We finally finished the masterpiece this afternoon and I must say it is pretty darn cute! I think we did a fabulous job! Those that know me, know that I don't like bragging....other than about Kagen........BUT this dress is super cute. Who would have thought that me of all people would be sewing?! Or want to sew? Sure feels good growing up and being a mom to a gorgeous little girl. I feel so blessed that I have the family I have and the friends I have. If I haven't told you all lately.......You mean the world to me and I thank God that you all are in my life.

Here's a picture of the finished product. Along with the matching bow of course.

Man oh man

Well, we have had a very eventful week. I can't get over HOW FAST my little girl is growing up. I wish I could find the pause button but, that's not how it works. We are still waiting on those teeth to show up. They are really taking their time! The day before Kagen turned 8 months old, YES 8 months ALREADY, she started crawling and she is pretty excited about this and I'm dreading all the booboo's that are going to come along. Two days after that I had her in her play pen while I was doing some things around the house and I look over at her and she had pulled herself up and was just staring at me! I must say it was a little startling at first, haha. So in one week we have learned to crawl and pull up. I can't believe this little baby that could barely hold her head up just a few months ago is going to be walking before I know it. Her laughing is so contagious! She thinks the simplest things are hilarious, which is great because I'm not that funny. Kagen has also gone swimming for the first time and she loved it of course and would try and let go of me to swim on her own, which we tried until she began to sink. Aunt Lindsey and Uncle Shane came out to see little miss swim and we had a great time with them!!

Here's a few pictures from our day....

Let's get in the pool!!

Whoa!!!

Where did daddy go??

First blog......ever!

Well this is the first time I have ever done this so here go's nothing!

Most everyone knows but, I quit my job as a Dental Assistant in March to be a Stay-at-home mommy. It was a difficult decision because I loved my job, my boss and I worked with one of my best friends but, I knew in myheart that I needed to be with Kagen. I have now been home with her for almost 3 months and I couldn't be happier. I love spending the day with her and especially going to the mall with her. ;P

Kagen has been pretty fussy for a while now and I'm not sure what the deal is. I have been checking her gums almost daily to see if we have any friends showing up. WELL, a few days ago I finally felt two little knots on her lower gums. WHOO HOO!! She has her good days and bad with it. I think these first two teeth are going to be very very stubborn. She likes to lick the teething rings rather than actually chew on them so I have been trying a cold wash rag. Who knows when they will make an appearance. I hope soon.

We have FINALLY finished the front flowers beds, and the house looks so much better! I can't wait to get started on the other fifteen. J/K There are a lot of flower beds at this house though. I'm hoping at the end of summer we can have the house painted so that will really freshen the look up. We are back and fourth about selling our home. We are mainly doing all of this hard work to do so but, in the same breath, why do all the hard work and not enjoy it?? Who knows what the future holds. We keep it all in God's hands.

We'll see if I can keep this up. bye bye!!
