Water fun!

Yesterday we spent the day at my parent's house and had a bbq.  Kagen was so excited to finally get to go swimming.  My mom bought her some little arm floats and once she figured them out, she wanted nothing to do with us after that!!

Today we met some friends at the spray park for lunch and some fun in the water.  The kids had a blast.  Kagen wasn't too sure about it and just observed.  After that, we went swimming at Jessica's house with Max and Lisa.  Kagen enjoyed bossing Max around.  haha

30 weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 30 Weeks

Size of baby: Almost 3lbs (head of cabbage) About 15.7 inches long

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gained 25lbs   YEP.... 25lbs!!!!!  yikes.

Maternity Clothes: I have a pair of shorts and a few tops I wear but, everything else normal.   The belly band it still working on my regular jeans....as of now.
Gender: It’s a GIRL! Kalli Reese Richardson

Movement: She's still very active.  She likes to really start moving around just in time for my bed time.

Sleep: Not great but, I never sleep all that great.

What I miss: Sleeping on my stomach

Cravings: My cravings have kind of disappeared.  I'm just thirsty all the time, if that counts.
Symptoms: I hardly have heartburn anymore but, my sciatic nerve will start hurting early in the morning...and wake me up!

Best Moment this week: Having Kagen come up to my tummy and talk to Kalli.  She is going to be the best big sister!!

I  hated to do a picture today.  I was feeling BIG and I had no desire to do my hair because I would be spending the day outside.  I've hit the miserable point.....and I still have 10 weeks!

I can already tell that Kagen and Kalli will be complete opposites.  Kagen always stayed in a ball, but Kalli loves to stay stretched out.  I'm hoping that means she'll be real laid back.   Kalli also likes kicking me in my ribs and she rolls around a lot.  Kagen was always so low I never felt her kick my ribs.  I could also breath much easier with Kagen.  It's amazing how different everything is.  And, if I don't eat on time, Kalli will let me know!  This child loves to food!   I had my 30 week check up this morning and they gave me paper work to get registered at the hospital.  ALREADY?!!  I can not wrap my head around having two kids.  It will be interesting.  Kalli's room is slowly coming along.  All I really lack is getting decor for it.  I also need to go through Kagen's clothes and see what I need to buy.  Now that summer is here I'm sure these months are really going to start flying by.  I can't wait to meet Kalli but, I don't want to rush it either.

Weekend highlights...

We had planned on taking Kagen to the Fort Worth Zoo on Saturday but, Lex finished a job he was doing early so we decided to go Friday instead.  We had the best time.  Kagen did wonderful, especially since she didn't get a nap that day.  Her favorite part was riding the train.  That's ALL she talked about the rest of the day.  The weather was perfect too.  But, I was one tired Mom at the end of the day!!  Being 6 months pregnant and walking around that HUGE place can wear you out!!

Showing us what an elephant does

I had planned on attending a baby shower the next morning but, Kagen slept late and so did I.   I didn't realize how exhausted we would be!!   That afternoon I met up with Lisa to see a movie and then we had a late lunch.  Afterwards she brought her nephew over so he and Kagen could play.  Kagen LOVES Max.  But Max....he isn't too sure about my wild child.  Ha!

I have to brag on Lisa. She is very talented in many areas but, my favorite is her painting.  When I was pregnant with Kagen she made the sweetest thing for her room!   I'm so excited because she is going to make one for Kalli.  =)    I can't wait to see it!!

Sunday was church and then lunch at my parent's house.   Sunday night there was an awards ceremony for the AWANA program at church.  It was so neat to watch all those sweet kiddos get excited about their awards.  They worked really hard for them too!!  I really enjoyed helping this year and can't wait for it to start again.

I also want to post BEFORE pictures of the dressers that my Mom let me have.  They belonged to her, then my sister and I used them.  They have just been sitting in their storage building so I asked if I could have them.  =)  The tall dresser drawers are going into Kalli's room and the dresser is going in my living room.  I can't wait to get started on them!

The start of Kalli's room

We are finally getting things done for Kalli's room.  I can't wait to meet that sweet baby girl!!
I decided to do pink and green in her room.  I went back and forth with what color crib to get and I finally decided to get white.  I want the girls' rooms to be completely different from each other.
My Mom has a dresser that she used as a child that I am going to repaint.  My sister and I also used it so I am really excited about it.  I'm currently going back and forth on what color to paint that....so stay tuned!  lol

Here is a before picture of the office.  I'll post an after photo once we're completely finished.

We found the perfect shade of green to paint the walls.  It's called Limish by Valspar.  The color looks nothing like what you see on their website but, it's so pretty in person!!  Lex is going to do a real pretty texture on the walls too.

Like I said in my post before, the bed came last Thursday soLex and I put it together that night.  Mostly Lex.  =)   Kagen wanted to help too
!!

This is the bedding we chose.  I didn't really care for the skirt in this picture so we are using a different one.

We are going to use this for the skirt.

And finally, her chandelier.   I love it so much!!

My birthday and Mother's Day weekend

I had such a good weekend.  I got and early birthday present on Thursday.  When we got home from running errands we saw a big package waiting for us.....Kalli's bed!!!    It's perfect!  I will do another post soon on Kalli's room and post a picture of it.  Thank you MiMi!  Our family is so good to us and anything we don't already have they are stepping in and helping us out.    GiGi got us the adorable bedding and yesterday she got me a nursing cover and my Mom is going to get us another monitor. We are so blessed!!!
Friday was my 28th birthday.   I'm so thankful the Lord gave me another year with my family and that he is also blessing me with another precious baby girl.  I never want to take a moment for granted again.    Lex and Kagen took me to lunch at Chick-fil-a and then we did some window shopping.   I wanted to look at chandelier's for Kalli's room.  The first place we went to, I found one that I loved.  It would be August, my due date, before the one I wanted came in though.  So we went to another lighting place and when we walked in, there is was!  The SAME chandelier, only in the color I wanted.  I couldn't walk away from it.  What was even more awesome is the lady took some off of the price so I could just buy the display.  SCORE!  I love getting deals!!  I will post a picture of it when I do a post about Kalli's room.  That evening we had dinner at my parent's house along with my sister, brother-in-law, GiGi and Bill Bill.

My sweet friend Amanda sent me some yummy cupcakes too!!  It was such a good day!!

Kagen spent the night with my parent's on Friday and Saturday night so that Lex I could go shopping for the day.  I REALLY missed that little girl.  Two nights away from her is tough!!   Lex and I had a really good time though.  We started the day off in Grapevine then went to Frisco.  We haven't really spent the day together, just me and him, in a long time.  It was so nice.  I'm so blessed to be his wife.  He is so good to me and Kagen.

Sunday was Mother's Day, of course.  We got dressed and got to church on time!! haha  It's crazy how fast you can get ready and out of the house without a little one.  We had a wonderful church service.  I went to get Kagen out of the nursery afterwards and she screamed when she saw us!  Best sound ever!!   We headed back to my parent's house to have lunch.  The guys cooked(and cleaned up) for us momma's.  It was so yummy too!!   After spending some time there we went to Bill Bill and GiGi's to visit for a while before heading to dinner with them.

I really hated to see this wonderful weekend come to an end.   I hope you all enjoyed your Mother's Day as much as I did.
