6 months!!

I can't believe Kalli is already 6 months old.  These last 6 months have flown by!  This is such a fun age.
She had her check up today and did great.  She got four shots, one being the flu shot.  She passed out shortly after that.  She is 15.8lbs (40%ile)  26in (60%ile) Her head is still tiny!!  It's in the 15%ile.  She's slowly growing in to it.  haha

She is such a good baby.  We had a very rocky start so I am thankful for how good she has been lately.  She is so laid back.  She is the complete opposite of Kagen.

She's finally rolling around-back to front, front to back.

She is in her crib full time and loves sleeping on her stomach.  I removed the crib bumper the other day so her bed looks so big now!

She can sit up on her own for a few seconds.

She is still trying to cut those two bottom teeth.  They are taking forever.  That is JUST like Kagen did.

She LOVES peek-a-boo and The Itsy Bitsy Spider.

She loves playing with her feet.

She has the sweetest laugh.

She loves pulling my hair and pinching!  Everything goes in her mouth.

Her big sister is still her idol.

She has started making a few sounds like "ba" and "ma".  I swear she said "MaMa" the other day when she was mad! ha!!

She is still nursing but, every other feeding she gets formula.   We tried rice cereal last week and she loved it but, became real fussy a few days later.  She is teething too, so we're not real sure what that was about.  We are going to try oatmeal with her and also get started on some veggies!  I'm so excited about that!!

She loves playing with toys. Especially rattles and blankets.

She usually sleeps from 8 to 4 then back down until 7:30 or 8.   Lately that's been a little off because of teething.

Kalli changes so much each day.  She is looking less and less like Kagen did.  I swear her hair is blonder than Kagen's was.  I'm curious to see if her eyes stay blue.  Kagen loves playing with her.

I had to vacuum our room so I put her and Kalli on the bed and next thing I knew Kagen was putting her trains on Kalli.  It was so funny!

These are the girls at the same age in, obviously, the same outfit.  See how different they look?!

Back in the swing of things.

Most of last week was spent lounging around in pajamas.  Kagen ran a low grade fever until Wednesday night.  That was the only symptom she had.  Luckily Kalli didn't catch whatever it was and we are back to normal.  For now.  I kept her home from school Thursday just to be sure her fever didn't come back.
Friday we needed to get out of the house so we met up Crystal and Madeline at Chuck E Cheeses then the mall for lunch.  The girls have so much fun together!
Saturday a friend from Kagen's school came over to play.  They had so much fun running around outside.  I'm a little concerned about this relationship though.  They are apparently boyfriend and girlfriend.  Oh my!!
We went to church on Sunday and Kalli slept right through Sunday school and half way through church.  Once she woke up she wanted to talk and blow bubbles.  So Daddy took her out so she wouldn't disturb anyone.  She's a loud little thing.  We had lunch at my parents' then came home.
I have some random pictures from our week I'll post too.  Hope y'all had a great weekend!

    {Please excuse my obsession with Instagram photos. I love the way it makes my pictures look}

baby girl is doing great in her crib.  She loves laying on her side and tummy.  She will be 6 months in 2 days!  How is this possible?!!

My sweet baby watching Tangled for probably the tenth time!

She wanted to watch a movie in her tent.  This time it was Thomas the Train.  She watched a lot of TV this week but, I think it helped her rest.

I've been trying to work on spelling and reading with Kagen.  I'm not some crazy Mom that thinks she needs to know all this ASAP.  I just think it's fun and she really enjoys learning.

And speaking of spelling...  Kagen came walking in the kitchen one day and spelled her name for me!  We had been working with her but, she has never done it by herself.  She was so proud of herself! Also, for some reason she pronounces "N" like the letter "M."  We're working on that. ha!

She is a great work out partner.

I love story time with Kalli.  She's so cuddly!

Sweet, sweet baby girl.

Kagen and Madeline having fun at the Mall!

She is crazy about sunglasses lately.

The best thing ever when shopping with kids!  She loved having her own cart.  She was trying to put random things in it though.

Kagen and Wyatt took turns pulling each other around.

She is turning into a Daddy's girl.  I'm not too happy about that!  He is pretty great, so I guess I can see what all the fuss is about. ha!

Ciara went to church for the first time!  She's such a sweet baby!

Trying to convince Sweet Pea to jump.

Happy girl!
Today Kagen wanted her toes painted.  She picked out these two colors.

I love this picture!    She's just so pretty!

Pictures from my phone...

Kagen is missing school, yet again, today because of a low grade fever.   I'm wondering if we would be better off locking ourselves inside until winter is over.  But then I would go even crazier than I already am. Ha!  So while we watch a movie and cuddle I thought it'd be a good time to catch up on my blog.

Playing around with sister's guitar

I cleaned and organized Kagen's room.  I have no idea where to put all these stuffed animals!  She loves playing with them so I can't get rid of them but, I need to figure something out!!!

I love watching her play

She loves to grab anything that comes near her.  She loves giving sugars too!

Lex and I had a date night.  We took advantage of our gift cards and had dinner at Chick-fil-a then shopped. We're so romantic!

Having tea and fruit with my little princess

We played dress up

Nightly ritual with Daddy

We sang songs to make Kalli feel better.  =)

Big sister loves to help

She also loves her little sister very much

As of Friday Kalli is now in her crib all the time.  =(  This was the last nap she took her her Nap Nanny.  That thing was such a life saver.  I'm so sentimental about it.  I guess it's because she's been in it since we brought her home.  Thanks again GiGi!

I am so excited about making Kalli's food.  I was wanting a steamer and blender in one but, I couldn't find one I liked. After reading a ton of reviews I decided on the Baby Bullet. Plus, this comes with a storage system which is what I wanted.

We went for a walk and had frozen yogurt......it was 70 degrees and sunny.....in January!

Kalli and her little bff Harlow.  They already love each other.

I wanted to get a cute picture of the girls after church.  I thought this one was so funny because Kagen was so over pictures!

Kagen had a boo boo.  We were down town taking pictures for some friends when Kagen had a little accident.  She was jumping off some steps with Daddy.  It looks worse than it feels I think...  She is moving it but, it still looks so bad! She is clumsy like her Momma.

We cleaned out the garage this weekend and Kagen kept herself entertained with random items.  She has a pretty good imagination sometimes!

Yesterday was Bill Bill's birthday so we went to their house for dinner.

She looked like such a big girl!

Happy New Year!

Our New Years Eve didn't go as planned.  The girls and I got sick so we had to cancel our plans.  We spent the night watching movies and laying around.  I'm ready to see what the Lord has in store for us this year.
2011 was one of the best and most difficult years yet.  It was filled with many up and downs. I am so thankful for everything that we have been blessed with.  . Lex has been such an amazing father and husband.  He has helped me through one of the hardest times of my life. With Kalli being in the NICU, I learned how strong I was.  Much stronger than I imagined.   My girls are amazing.  I love them so much.  The fact that God chose me to be their Mother is such an honor.
Please don't take a moment with your family for granted.  Life is much too precious to rush through it.  Happy New Year!

This was our family of three a year ago.  Kalli was just a teeny tiny peanut.

My heart is over flowing with joy.  My God is such an AWESOME God.

One more Christmas!

Last night we went to Mo and Pop's for Christmas.  We had some great food and opened presents.  We had a good time visiting with everyone.  Kagen loves getting to see all of her family.  She kept dragging everyone up and down the stairs with her!
