Bedtime Favorites

Every night before Kagen goes to bed Lex usually reads her a story.  Here lately she has been wanting to read Green Eggs and Ham.  She loves the book so much that she wants to sleep with it.  It's actually one of her requirements to get her in the bed.  Ha!  She MUST have these four items in her bed before she goes to sleep.

-Rabbit (Her musical rabbit)
-Giraffe (her blanket with a giraffe on it)
-Blanket
-Green Eggs and Ham book

If any of those are missing she will let you know immediately.  And, will search for any missing items until they are found. 

Tonight,  I read to her and she DID NOT want me to leave the room when we were done.  She kept grabbing me around my neck and pulling me back to the bed.  It was so cute!  I asked her, "Can Momma leave now?"  Her response, "NO!".   I got Lex to snap a couple pictures of us.

I still can't get over how blessed I am to have this little girl in my life.

Christmas...already??

This is the first year I decorated for Christmas before Thanksgiving.  It feels weird. Ha!  I am so ready for Christmas this year I wanted to have all the pretty decorations out!  I normally do black/silver decorations but, last year I bought a bunch of different colors so it Kagen would enjoy it more.  I can't say that I am in love with my tree like I was last year but, it works.  I think I'm just going to have to get use to it.  I do love the pretty ornaments on it though.  And so does Kagen! ha!

Saturday, my Mom came over to help me sew some pants for Kagen.  I bought some cute material a few weeks ago and made a Christmas shirt for her and I wanted to attempt to sew pants.  Thank goodness for my Momma, she did most the work! I would have been so lost with out her.  I think the outfit turned out cute!!

 

Dance Party

I'm so behind on blogging. Things have been so crazy but, I love it!! This time of the year makes my heart smile.   What I hate, is that it goes by so quickly.

Last Wednesday, Amanda and Bubba celebrated their 3 year wedding anniversary. I got watch Kendall while they went out. We had so much fun! Kendall is such a sweet little boy. And, I'm convinced Kagen will be an awesome big sister. She was running around and trying to make Kendall laugh. She was so sweet to him! The baby fever is back! LOL.

They played for a little while in Kagen's room and she has a toy that plays music so they were both dancing.  It was so cute!  I couldn't snap fast enough to get them both in action.

Kagen is usually the aggressive one so I think this caught her off guard. ha!

Well, the weekend has already come and gone.  I hate when it goes by so fast. 
  Saturday, I spent most of the day cleaning.  Kagen was pretty grumpy.  She had a little too much sugar the night before so that meant she didn't go to bed when she was suppose to.  So, I'd be grumpy too.  We like our sleep!

Today we went to church and then to my parent's for lunch.  I brought the camera along so we could take some pictures.  Lex told me today to not be surprised if my camera came up missing.  Ha!  I can't help it.  you can never have too many pictures.

He's so handsome, even when he's pouting.

Kagen had a blast running around too.  She could spend all day and night outside if I let her.

Surprise!!!!

Amanda's Mom had this cute banner made!!  And bought pizza for us!

About a month go Amanda's mom asked me if I would help her plan a surprise party for her.  Amanda and her family are living in Oman right now.  Her birthday was Sept. 28 so she wasn't home for it.   We didn't even let Bubba (Amanda's husband) in on the secret. ha!  Everything turned out great and she didn't have the slightest idea!!!

GiGi's Birthday

Tuesday was Kathy's birthday so we all met up at her parent's house for dinner.  We had a great time and  Kagen loved playing with the piano!!
