So it's been a while, again, since I last updated my blog. Whoops! I will get better, I hope. Kagen has finally began cutting two more teeth. She is such an awesome little girl. I am so in love with her!! I can't help but be in a good mood when she is singing and clapping with me. We had a great summer but I am SOOO excited that Fall is here. That means Christmas is right around the corner. I love everything about this time of the year. Cold weather, hot chocolate and snuggling. Lex and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary on September 20. We went to Dallas for the night and had a great time. It was nice to get away and spend time with each other, even though we REALLY missed Kagen. I am so happy that he is my husband and I am his wife. I couldn't have asked God for a better partner in life. (mushy mushy, I know) I also married into a nice, sometimes rowdy, family that I love very much as well. After our anniversary trip it was crunch time to get everything in order for Kagen's FIRST birthday party. She only gets one first birthday so it had to be great. ;) A week and a half before Kagen turned one she got the Flu. :( I was a mess but, held it together and didn't let myself get all phsyco mom. Kagen is one tough little girl though and I'm proud of her for keeping a smile on her face even when she was feeling yucko. She went to the doctor on Tuesday and started Tamiflu that same day, the next day she woke up with NO FEVER and was fever free ever since. She still felt crummy but, she was doing great. Thankfully me, Lex and all other family members did not get it. Then it was birthday time!! Lex and I took Kagen to the park on her birthday so she could play and then home to have family time. Then it was Casa Ole (Daddy's favorite place) for the big b-day dinner. That night Kagen decided to start walking!! (I think she could have walked a few months earlier but, she wanted to wait til the time was right) Saturday was her big birthday party and it was a blast. We were so happy that everyone came that could make it. It was awesome having all of our family and friends in the same place at the same time. Kagen's closet is officially full and ready for winter!! She also got some pretty great toys that she loves. I guess that brings us to today. One of my very good friends who moved far far away came in to town at the end of September. Her and her hubby are expecting their first little bundle of joy in December. So I guess that makes him her baby daddy now. Amanda and Bubba wanted to make sure Kendall was born a US Citizen and a Texan of course, so she's here until Kendall arives and I can't wait! Kagen and I got to spend the day with Amanda and it was so much fun. We took Kagen to the Pumpkin Patch in Tyler for the first time, since last year I was crazy and wouldn't take Kagen ANYWHERE. Kagen was terrified of the pumpkins when we first got there. Not sure why but, it was ugly. Once we were out in the field she was all better but, refused to touch them. I guess they were too dirty for her? We really enjoyed it and she loved the hayride, go figure. And we are so ready for the weekend so we can relax and hang out with Daddy. I would like to thank my preggers friend Amanda, that helped make my blog all pretty!
